Idaho Statistics

In 2006 within intersection and intersection-related fatal crashes were 23% of total fatalities according to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.   This translates to 267 people being killed just from intersection crashes.  The average pedestrian fatalities increased 37.5% from the year 2000 to 2004.  In 2004 there were almost 2.8 million injuries related to automobile crashes and almost 15,000 were in Idaho.  These statistics are alarming and should be remembered by every person before they decide to get behind the wheel.  Driving a vehicle can be deadly, but abiding by the traffic laws are one way of keeping yourself and others out of danger.
